I went on another virtual walk this evening, this time a little nearer to home: Venice. I've been to Venice for real, twice, but the last time was 44 years ago when I was 21. Its a fascinating city and I had hopes of returning one day but couldn't afford it, so the next best thing is a virtual tour like this one.
Our guide, Giacomo.
St Mark's Square, showing Basilica at the far end.
Harry's Bar
The Bridge of Sighs
The Doge's Palace
The campanile showing above construction work at the side of San Marco Basilica.
