Welcome to my new blog

WELCOME to my new blog, which is to be about my virtual travels.  My name's Pete. Before the advent of the Internet, I used to do quite a lot of travelling, including backpacking, but my real travelling days are over due to cost, wanting to be greener, and my health problems and age, but mostly the cost.  So, the next best thing, which costs hardly anything except an Internet connection and a phone or laptop, and sometimes tips for the guide, are virtual tours, which I do through Heygo

I started going on these virtual tours or walks, back in the summer and my first ones were in London, until I expanded my horizons a little.  So there are quite a few tours missing from this blog, but I shall include a gallery on one of my pages for photos taken on those trips, not all of them, but a selection.

I got the idea of doing a blog especially on virtual travel from a travel journal workshop which I booked myself on, and that too, is virtual, coming as it does from California. But I have kept other blogs of different kinds for years, but this is the first one of mine that deals solely with virtual travel.
